We are brought in for one of four reasons. In every case the work is the same in spirit: take hold of the complexity, give everyone a clear line of sight, and drive the programme to delivery.
Engagements are senior and hands-on. We lead from inside the programme, not from the sidelines.
Programme recovery
When a programme has lost its footing.
Some programmes arrive on our desk already in trouble — behind plan, over budget, or quietly losing the confidence of the board. The instinct is often to add pressure or people. Usually what is missing is control.
We take hold of the situation quickly. We establish what is genuinely true about status, risk and dependencies, separate the real problems from the noise, and rebuild a plan the team can actually commit to. Then we lead the delivery of it.
Typically brought in to: stabilise an at-risk programme, restore board and stakeholder confidence, rebuild a credible plan, and hold delivery to it.
Transformation leadership
Senior ownership, end to end.
For large-scale change, we take the Transformation Director or Programme Director role outright. We own the plan, the governance, the delivery and the difficult conversations — and we are accountable for the outcome alongside you.
This is the core of the practice: experienced, board-level leadership of complex technology and business change, from mobilisation through to benefits landing.
Typically brought in to: lead a major transformation as interim Transformation/Programme Director, own delivery across internal teams and suppliers, and give the board a single, trusted point of accountability.
Mobilisation
Start it properly.
How a programme starts shapes how it ends. We stand up new programmes so they begin with control already built in — a clear scope, a plan grounded in reality, the right governance, and a team that knows how delivery will work.
Getting the foundations right at the outset is far cheaper than recovering a programme later.
Typically brought in to: shape and set up a new programme, define governance and delivery approach, build the initial plan and team, and hand over — or stay on to lead.
Independent assurance
An honest, senior read.
Sometimes what is needed is not a leader but a clear-eyed opinion from someone who has run programmes like yours. We review a programme independently and tell you plainly whether it will deliver, where the real risks sit, and what we would do about it.
No theatre, no box-ticking — a senior assessment you can act on, delivered discreetly.
Typically brought in to: provide independent review or a second opinion for a board or sponsor, pressure-test plan and delivery confidence, and set out a practical recovery or improvement roadmap.
